On November 19, M&A Advisor assembled the top professionals in M&A to recognize and celebrate the best deals and professionals of the year at the 18th Annual M&A Advisor Awards in New York City.
The “Deal of the Year” award was granted to Project Simmer for Kettle Cuisine, a portfolio company of Kainos Capital. West Monroe was proud to serve as part of the broader deal team, assisting with the acquisition and integration of Harry’s Fresh Foods, and separation of “Stockpot” from Campbell’s, by Kettle Cuisine. The transaction was highly complex, involving the acquisition of three soup manufacturing plants, consolidation of the three plants into the carved-out and former Campbell’s plant, and the implementation of a new ERP system—all in less than six months.
“Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners of the 2019 awards,” said Scott Fuzer, director and leader of West Monroe’s M&A practice in Dallas. “We are proud to work with Kainos Capital, leveraging our firm’s broader M&A and technology expertise to support this important transaction. The team performed exceptionally well on this deal, and while we are proud of this award, we are more importantly thrilled that we could over-deliver with results for our client.”
The team at West Monroe included Scott Fuzer, Kirsten Lentz, Bob Grebenc, Kristin Vargas, Joe Anderson, Cathy Ciucci, Nick Guren, and Matt Moon, among others in advisory roles.
Now in its 18th year, M&A Advisor created the annual awards program to recognize the industry’s most notable dealmakers, firms and transactions. Evaluation of the nominees and selection of the 2019 winners was completed by an independent panel of judges comprised of prominent members and experts of the M&A, finance and, turnaround community.
