West Monroe’s Kristin Irving, a senior director in the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, has the distinguished honor of being named among Consulting magazine’s 2019 Women Leaders in Consulting. The annual recognition spotlights global industry leaders and chooses winners in four categories: Future Leaders, Client Service, Leadership, and Lifetime Achievement. Irving is recognized for excellence in client service.
“Kristin distinguishes herself as a highly respected and sought out advisor during a period of particularly volatile industry change,” said Will Hinde, Managing Director of West Monroe’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice. “Her ability to demonstrate and deliver value as well as build relationships has resulted in work with the largest dental payer organizations in the United States, and in the 13 years she has been with the firm, has been instrumental in building the firm’s brand as a preferred partner to the dental and ancillary insurance market.”
Since joining West Monroe in 2006 after starting her career as a systems architect with a benefit plan administrator, Kristin has served more than 30 clients as an engagement lead—some of them among West Monroe’s largest, most complex projects. She exemplifies the term client-first and continues to serve as a trusted advisor, tirelessly partnering with clients to deliver results and create value. For example, she recently led a strategy project than enabled her client to commercialize an industry leading claims platform and diversify their income streams. In addition, she has contributed significantly to the development of West Monroe’s Healthcare and Life Sciences practice as it has grown from three team members in 2006 to 135 today.
"The work I do is stimulating and challenging, but what I love most is the opportunity to contribute to growing our next generation of leaders,” said Irving. “It’s rewarding to mentor and coach our new consultants as they experience what it’s like to be a consultant and work with clients to add value. This award is particularly meaningful to me personally because it affirms the trust both my clients and firm have placed in me as an advisor, colleague, and confidant.”
This is the 13th year that Consulting Magazine has recognized women leaders of the profession. Irving and her peers will be honored at a gala dinner and awards presentation event in New York on November 14.
