When it comes to large-scale IT and supply chain transformations, Bilal has seen the art of the possible—and then made it real for his clients. For a Fortune 50 client, he led a team that helped deliver a digital workplace transformation project from assessment to implementation across 100 different countries. The team negotiated a $100 million contract that produced more than $50 million in savings and a 50-point improvement in Net Promoter Score®.
He has led the transformation of IT infrastructure and application towers from both insourced and outsourced functions to managed services delivery models for clients with revenues in the billions of dollars across industries. That work has earned him a reputation for optimizing value and costs, and in 2017 he was named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know in the supply chain industry list.
His project expertise also includes IT sourcing and strategy assessment, transition management, process analysis and optimization, benchmarking, and contract negotiations.
He joined West Monroe from Pace Harmon, where he was a director. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and holds a certificate in Managerial Analytics from the university’s Kellogg School of Management.
What makes Bilal different
He enjoys exploring the world with his family and has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, and Europe. He attended high school at the Red Cross Nordic United World College in Norway, where he was among students from more than 100 countries. All students and faculty lived together on-campus by a Norwegian fjord, a location with more sheep and cows than people.
He is an avid cricket and soccer player who spends his weekends playing competitive professional cricket in the Bay Area.
