Carolyne Kama

Carolyne partners with healthcare payers to help them identify improved standard operating procedures, operating models, and business processes that foster institutional change. She performed a cost analysis of a healthcare payer’s existing marketing vendors and was able to identify more than $2 million in cost-savings opportunities. She then built a cost prioritization model to recommend and identify IT solutions for a mainframe replacement that totaled more than $10 million.

A U.S. champion outrigger canoe paddler, Carolyne brought her passion to the New York office by launching a paddling event on the Hudson River.

Carolyne joined West Monroe in 2019 from Cognizant, where she was an associate director. She has a bachelor’s from Columbia University and is a certified Salesforce Administrator.

Carolyne continues to compete in national and international races of outrigger canoe paddling with her team. She lives in downtown Brooklyn with her husband.

Where Carolyne makes an impact

Carolyne is a board member of New York Outrigger, an organization that is committed to increasing free access to the Hudson River and its surrounding community as well as educating the public about the history of outrigger canoe paddling in Hawaiian culture. She is also a mentor in Best Buddies, which is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-on-on friendships, integrated employment, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
