Applying vast software engineering expertise, Joe leads the architecture and design of consumer-facing products, as well as large-scale enterprise systems. He retired two large legacy benefits administration systems for in insurer of more than 20 million members, and he also improved features for managing account information leading to consolidation and retirement of dozens of manually managed customer data sources to a single system.
Over the course of his career, Joe has worked with clients across an array of industries to develop technology-enabled solutions that deliver efficiency and revenue gains by improving system stability and reliability, increasing IT department effectiveness, reducing critical defects, improving data quality, and streamlining processes.
Joe’s development skillset is founded on the Microsoft .NET technology stack. He is also versed in microservices patterns, enterprise application integration, event streaming architecture, cloud platforms, a variety of data storage platforms, Node, Java, C#, Agile development, Kubernetes, containers, and others.
Prior to joining West Monroe, Joe was an information systems analyst with transportation company Two Men and a Truck. He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

In addition to spending time with family, Joe’s enjoys bowling, board games, hockey, and astronomy. He is also a scoutmaster with his local Cub Scouts pack.
Where Joe makes an impact
Joe architected and led the build team to deliver a large dental insurer’s first direct-to-individual digital channel, resulting in an increase in revenue from the individual insurance market and tens of thousands of new plans purchased.
