Jonathan enjoys the challenge of helping clients solve difficult questions by thinking creatively and bringing new perspectives. It’s hard to argue with his formula and the results it produces – including millions of dollars of direct savings for Fortune 500 companies. For example, he transformed the IT infrastructure and application development/maintenance strategy for a Fortune 200 retailer, delivering savings in excess of 40% by realigning internal and external roles and re-sourcing outsourced services. He managed design and procurement of network services and accelerated the stand-up of a physical network for a $4 billion divestiture from a manufacturing and distribution company. And he advised several US-based wireless carriers in developing and implanting interference mitigations with television broadcasters, enabling the carriers to deploy 4G and 5G cellular services more rapidly.
Whether developing and executing an IT infrastructure sourcing strategy for a global organization or managing a network cost reduction initiative to remove millions of dollars of wasteful spend per year, his tested experience and technical knowledge enable clients to maximize the value derived from their vendors’ services. Altogether, he has led infrastructure optimization and outsourcing projects for more than 50 multinational enterprises.
He joined West Monroe from Pace Harmon, where he was a co-founder and a director in the IT Outsourcing practice. Previously, he was a manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Telecommunications practice in London and Washington, DC, and a telecommunications analyst with West Deutsche Landesbank. He earned degrees in chemistry from Durham University.
What makes Jonathan different
He has a Ph.D. in nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. He lived in Islamabad, Pakistan, for two years but today calls Colorado home. He particularly enjoys the climate and easy access to mountains for skiing, biking, and rock climbing.
