With a self-professed enthusiasm for creative problem-solving, Josh likes to dig into the challenges facing large-scale healthcare payers and find innovative ways for them to engage with today’s savvy consumers. His solutions have measurable impact. For example, he reengineered a platform for managing co-branded health insurance shopping portals for direct-to-consumer and broker distribution channels by eliminating reliance on IT and giving portal creation power to the business. The project reduced portal creation time from 10 weeks to less than two days. In the first two months, the client launched 15-times more portals than it had in the previous two years. Furthermore, the company realized 20% of its five-year projected return on investment in the first three months.
He has spent much of his career listening to and working with executive marketers, IT leaders and customer practitioners to align their capabilities with customer expectations. For nearly a decade, his focus has been on healthcare.
He joined West Monroe in our acquisition of Invoyent, a healthcare consultancy. Earlier in his career, he was a digital marketing strategist. He earned a degree in integrated marketing communications from Abilene Christian University.
What makes Josh different
He has been a Chicago resident for nearly 15 years. For much of the year, you can find him on the lakeshore or in the water. He has a passion for endurance sports and has participated in 13 marathons and six triathlons, most recently in Osaka Japan.
Where Josh makes an impact
Having seen how the best work comes from the ability to bring one’s full self to work, he co-founded and continues to co-lead WMPride, our LGBTQ+ employee resource group. He also lends his healthcare industry expertise to promote a growing community partnership with Howard Brown Health, one of the country’s largest federally qualified health centers specifically supporting an LGBTQ population.
