Mark’s extensive background in financial statement audit and assurance, M&A advisory, and corporate controllership at both privately held and publicly traded organizations makes him well suited for the controllership at West Monroe—particularly as we chart global growth plans.
His highly collaborative style emphasizes partnering across all areas and levels of the business to instill strong financial and accounting viewpoints.
Mark spent more than a decade in auditing and transaction advisory services with two Big Four firms, where he gained extensive experience in private equity. That led to his recruitment for controllership positions with two private equity-backed healthcare companies—most recently at GoHealth, a $1 billion health insurance comparison platform for which he led the accounting and finance department through a successful IPO offering in under six months. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he continues to be a guest lecturer on technical accounting topics. He is a CPA in Illinois.
Mark enjoys live events of any kind, including concerts and sports—and particularly St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals games. He loves spending time with his wife and two children, and he has hiked the Grand Canyon twice.
Mark sees his role as more than just delivering excellence in financial management. He loves building high-performing teams and teaching finance and accounting concepts to the next generation of leaders.
