Some consultants might be content to pull off a complex merger. Matt aims higher. By expertly managing business and cultural risks, he has helped buyers and sellers capture more than $50 million in synergies across several M&A transactions. Matt leverages his broad experience to lead the M&A team’s Merger Center of Excellence, where he has shaped the practice’s integration playbook, diligence framework, and post-close merger tools and method for synergy capture and integration management.
Matt provides experienced M&A leadership, from strategy to diligence to integration planning and execution. He has performed more than 100 pre-close due diligence engagements and led post-close merger teams across several business domains, industry sectors, and technology platforms. Matt’s deep and hands-on experience helps clients ensure that mergers meet or exceed their expected shareholder value.
Prior to joining West Monroe, Matt worked at Target Corporation as an internal consultant to senior supply chain, merchandising, finance, and human resources leaders. He began his career with the U.S. Department of Commerce as a special assistant to the Undersecretary for International Trade.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
