Michael helps dental and ancillary payers realize the compelling benefits of pursuing and winning state Medicaid contracts – including membership increases of as much as 50% and steady new revenue streams. He has both developed competitive bid strategies and guided implementation of complex, transformational projects that encompass all aspects of the organization.
He also has substantial healthcare merger and acquisition experience and has contributed industry expertise to the due diligence for more than 30 healthcare transactions.
Since Michael joined West Monroe in 2014, he has played a key role in launching and building our Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in New York.
In a previous consulting role, he guided hospital systems through complex practice management and electronic health record implementation projects. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

He is an avid runner and hiker. He once rode his bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles – that’s nearly 400 miles if you’re counting.

He is also committed to fostering an engaged and inclusive workplace. He is currently the New York office WMPride ambassador, as well as the office’s chief of chiefs – a role that is part of our unique “chiefs” program and provides leadership for colleagues who have taken the initiative to create and run programs in areas that reflect their personal interests (fitness, environment, etc.).
