Nate lives and breathes for opportunities to rally organizations around solutions to their pain points. That’s because he’s seen the tangible value that comes from true alignment – in his case, more than $100 million in savings through sourcing events, negotiated contracts, suppler rationalization, early exit from transition services agreements, and other technical strategies.
He delivers such impact by approaching his work through the eyes of his clients. What do they need to be successful? What keeps them up at night? He believes in the power of personal connections and sees this is an essential ingredient for long-term value creation.
Nate’s expertise and accomplishments span the areas of global strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and management, supplier and supply chain management, cost optimization, financial modeling, and contingent labor. He combines that with effective communication and analytical skills and a decisive leadership style to empower leaders across industries – including financial services, healthcare, consumer & industrial products, and professional services.
In 2018, Nate joined Pace Harmon – now part of West Monroe – after five years in strategic sourcing and procurement departments at Capital One and Freddie Mac, and an additional year consulting for a national law firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and political science from Syracuse University, completed law school at Georgetown University Law Center, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
What makes Nate different
A one-time Boy Band member, Nate gives a hearty shout out to 5 Alive fans around the world. He recently started golfing. While he considers that to be off to a rocky start, he does enjoy tracking down golf balls in the woods. Otherwise, his weekends are spent with his wife chasing around their four children.
Where Nate makes an impact
Nate considers time spent with people to be a great learning experience. He enjoys being challenged and strives to instill that desire in others. He leads with a team-first mentality and fully embraces West Monroe’s mission to build the next generation of leaders. Outside of work, he is a board member for the World Pediatric Project.
