Moving the needle on performance requires practicality and proven approaches – as well as innovation and new perspectives. That’s where Rahul comes in. As the leader of our Provider industry, experience has taught him to look at tried-and-true methods as well as the art of the possible. This leads to greater tangible impact, such as $250 million in annual run-rate savings for a large healthcare provider.
His success in driving value from digital technology and operational transformation is the product of his unique background: He has been both a chief technology officer for multiple Fortune 50 companies and a consultant leading complex, large-scale global transformation programs. Altogether, he has spearheaded large information technology and business process outsourcing initiatives worth more than $5 billion in total contract value. He led enterprise IT transformation efforts for Fortune 100 companies, including many of the largest healthcare providers and payers and a variety of other clients across the technology, consumer products, and financial services industries.
He joined West Monroe from Pace Harmon, where he was a managing director and leader of the IT Strategy and Transformation practice. Previously, he was chief transformation officer for Catholic Health Initiatives, chief technology officer for UnitedHealth Group, and vice president of IT for Cigna. He also held leadership roles at Deloitte Consulting. He holds a patent in telehealth.
He is fluent in Russian. He enjoys traveling the world, exploring new countries and cultures, and trying new cuisines.
An avid sports fan, he has attended several Super Bowls (go Pats!), World Cup soccer finals, and World Cup cricket finals. In his youth, he earned a certification in mountaineering and climbed several peaks in the Himalayas, the highest being 16,500 feet.
He sponsors several children from disadvantaged communities in his village in rural eastern India, to help them get to and through college to achieve their potential.
He has a passion for mentoring people and counts among his proudest achievements seeing the people he has developed take on new leadership roles in large enterprises.
