An Army veteran, William applies unique experiences and aspects of military decision-making to evaluate the correct course of action for strategic IT initiatives. In particular, he has a track record for transforming struggling implementations into success stories. He recently led a project management office that concurrently reshaped two large healthcare ERP system implementations, totaling $20 million in investment, from certain failure into wins for the companies involved.
He is a recognized expert in leveraging ERP tools and systems to automate and transform business processes, with a particular focus on Microsoft Dynamics (D365 Finance and Operations, Customer Engagement and Power Applications).
His ability to help clients navigate complex implementation challenges stems from his experience in leadership roles as a logistician in the US Army, where he managed large-scale logistical planning and construction projects.
He joined West Monroe from Mazik Global Inc. where he was director of project management. Previously, he held project/delivery management roles with Avanade and Crowe Horwath and served for more than a dozen years in the United States Army Reserve. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Indiana University School of Public & Environmental Affairs.
He is currently training for his first duathlon – a triathlon without the water. His spare time is filled with watching his sons play sports and traveling to wineries with his partner to enjoy deep, full-bodied red wines. He has been known to hit a Crossfit workout-of-the-day, or three, depending on the day. He runs an annual 60-mile trail relay race in Hell, Michigan, called “Dances with Dirt.”
He had about as much fun as a person can have while deployed to Afghanistan, where he was responsible for the logistical needs for a 5,000-person battalion.
He is passionate about being a life-long generalist and continuous learner who uses vastly differing experiences and knowledge to bring context to as many situations as he can.
