West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that it has been named one of Minnesota’s “2015 Best Workplaces” by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal. The publication partnered with Quantum Workplace to survey employers across the region, ultimately honoring 65 finalists across four size categories: extra small, small, medium and large. West Monroe ranked sixth out of 25 firms in the extra small category.
The firm’s Minneapolis office opened nearly three years ago and has since grown to over 20 employees serving more than a dozen clients in key industries, including private equity, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare and retail. The Minneapolis office, like the rest of West Monroe Partners, has experienced rapid growth, including a 50-percent increase in revenue over the past year. To meet continued strong growth projections, the office has continued to pursue significant local hiring, adding 10 consultants in 2015, including campus graduates, and further diversification of its industry capabilities and credentials.
“We are honored to be recognized for promoting a people-first culture, engaging work environment and fulfilling career paths for our employees,” said Tom Ewers, managing director and leader of the firm’s Minneapolis office. “By hiring the best and brightest and offering a challenging, entrepreneurial, and fun work environment, we are able to deliver the best quality work to our clients.”
Like all West Monroe Partners offices, the Minneapolis office maintains a highly participatory and collaborative culture marked by an open work environment; frequent employee meetings and gatherings, including an annual strategic planning retreat; a strong commitment to serving the local community through its 1+1+1 social responsibility program; and regular recognition awards. The company has rigorously maintained this culture as it has grown to eight offices across North America and a team of more than 600 consultants—in part by remaining 100-percent employee owned. Its innovative human resources practices enable people at all levels contribute to the company’s direction, and through its December 2012 conversion to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), to share in its results.
West Monroe Partners’ Minneapolis office was recently recognized as a top workplace by Minnesota Business Magazine. Nationally, the firm has been listed as a top company to work for by Consulting Magazine, the Great Place to Work® Institute and FORTUNE magazine, among others. The firm was also named one of the 2015 Crain’s Fast 50 for the sixth time in nine years based on a five-year growth rate of 274%.
The publication celebrated all 2015 honorees at an event at St. Paul Downtown Airport on August 13.
