Chicago, Illinois – September 18, 2012 – West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that it is one of sixteen companies honored for excellence in worksite wellness by Building a Healthier Chicago. The inaugural awards for the Healthy Worksite Initiative recognize employers for their best-in-class wellness programs.
“We are thrilled to be included as an example of excellence in worksite wellness,” says Munzoor Shaikh, a senior manager in West Monroe’s healthcare payer practice focused on wellness initiatives. “We firmly believe in fostering a culture of wellness within our own firm as well as helping other firms of all sizes do the same – we practice what we preach.”
West Monroe’s internal wellness initiatives include a thorough preventive health evaluation, onsite biometric testing, incentives for healthy behaviors and educational sessions offered online, in print and in person. It also includes personal health management support, including health coaching, fitness program discounts and onsite flu shots.
“From our perspective, wellness is a no brainer,” says Gary Beu, director of West Monroe’s people and leadership development team. “Our business thrives when our employees are healthier, happier and more productive.”
All winners were honored at the Midwest Business Group on Health's Employer Wellness Forum: Best Practices & Key Trends in Worksite Wellness, conducted in partnership with Building a Healthier Chicago (BHC) on September 12.
