West Monroe is proud to announce that it’s the recipient of the M&A Advisor’s ‘Deal of the Year’ award in the Information Technology category for the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) practice’s advisory role for the carve-out and acquisition of Boomi, a category-leading, high-growth, global software as a service (SaaS) company, from Dell Technologies.
“It is an honor to be recognized by such a well-known industry group for West Monroe’s advisory role in the complex carve-out of Boomi,” said Keith Campbell, a senior partner in West Monroe’s M&A practice and leader of carve-out & divestitures.
We are proud to partner with TPG, Francisco Partners, and Boomi, leveraging our firm’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver swift and lasting results to our clients. We could not have won this award without the hard work of our project team, our partners at Boomi, Francisco Partners, and TPG, who were able to make this all possible. I’d also like to extend my congratulations to the finalists and winners of the 2022 awards, it’s remarkable to be surrounded by such an impressive group of peers.

West Monroe was proud to serve as part of the broader deal team, assisting with the carve-out. Francisco Partners and TPG carved-out Boomi, the intelligent connectivity and automation leader with the largest customer base among integration platform vendors and positioned as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (EiPaaS) for eight consecutive years. West Monroe’s M&A practice supported the transaction with the overall Separation Management Office, partnering closely with the Boomi team to finalize the transition service agreements, and provide advisory services to define the future operating model and execute the separation and value creation initiatives across all business functions: Communications, Sales & Marketing, Human Capital, Finance & Accounting, IT & Infrastructure, Procurement, Facilities, and Legal. The transaction was highly complex, involving two private equity firms, four continents, and over 1,000 employees worldwide. West Monroe supported Boomi by serving as the “single point of contact” across all parties, minimizing any risk to the business and allowing Boomi to continue on their aggressive growth path.
“Impressive work and commitment from West Monroe helped enable Boomi to stand up the systems and infrastructure needed to conduct business as an independent entity,” said Chris Port, Chief Operating Officer at Boomi. “We continued to grow globally, while also transitioning nine countries to the new Boomi in just six months.”
The team at West Monroe included Keith Campbell, Andy Johnson, Maddie Bessinger, Joe Vattimo and Miranda Rockhold.
West Monroe’s M&A practice advises equity firms and strategic buyers on their M&A transactions and portfolio companies.
