West Monroe is proud to announce that Kelsey Braak, a senior manager in the firm’s Operations Excellence practice, and Christina Powers, a partner in the Technology practice, have each been named by Consulting® magazine as one of the 2022 Rising Stars of the Profession, an annual recognition program that spotlights emerging industry leaders under the age of 35.
Kelsey leads clients through complex transformations, including productivity and process improvement initiatives. Her exceptional client delivery enabled a healthcare provider to shift to net revenue capabilities saving $4 million. She is a leader of West Monroe’s Inclusion and Diversity programming and a co-leader of the Operations Excellence practice’s Inclusion and Diversity committee. Kelsey helped lead the integration of West Monroe’s Minneapolis office and GoKart Labs, acquired in 2019.
“I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Kelsey. She has truly distinguished herself as a rising star at West Monroe through her exceptional client delivery, dedication to mentoring the next generation, and her commitment to Inclusion & Diversity at the firm and in the community,” said Tom Racciatti, partner, advisory & transformation.
It is a pleasure to work alongside Kelsey, solving the most complex operational transformations for our clients, and I am excited to see all that she continues to accomplish. ”
Christina leads the firm’s Cybersecurity Advisory for Private Equity (CAPE) program, which she built and developed. The growing program provides ongoing visibility into security practices and risks across a private equity firm’s portfolio and helps investors determine where they need to influence changes. She also conducts cybersecurity due diligence for potential acquisitions. Christina is a two-time winner of the Sequoia Award, the firm’s most prestigious award for leadership and mentorship, and serves on the board of the non-profit Ukrainian Youth Camping Organization.
“Christina is a standout among the top cybersecurity talent and this award is a true testament of her accomplishments,” said Sean Curan, senior partner, cybersecurity.
As breaches and cyberattacks become more widespread, Christina plays an even more important role leading our Cybersecurity Advisory for Private Equity (CAPE) program. The success of the program wouldn’t be possible without her strong leadership, in-depth knowledge, and dedication to advising private equity clients through some of the most challenging cybersecurity risks. ”
The publication honored all the Rising Stars award recipients at a gala dinner in Chicago on April 21.
