West Monroe named to Vault’s Best Internships List for Fourth Consecutive Year
West Monroe is proud to be named to the Vault list of 2023 Best Internships for the fourth year in a row. The firm ranked No. 34 among all industries overall, up from No. 42 in 2022.
More specifically, West Monroe ranked No. 5 in the consulting industry category and ranked in four new categories: No. 6 for data analytics and information technology, No. 10 for software engineering & development, No. 22 for quality of life, and No. 27 for training & mentoring.
To compile the rankings, Vault surveyed more than 10,800 current and former interns from more than 139 internship programs to evaluate factors such as quality of life, training & mentoring, employment prospects, and networking opportunities. In addition to having respondents rate and review their own internship experiences for the 2022 Internships Rankings, Vault asked interns to rate the prestige of other employers to determine which internships are the most desirable.
The award validates West Monroe’s investment in making internships meaningful experiences with opportunities for hands-on work. Many of our interns, over the course of their work at West Monroe, find that we have built a mutually beneficial relationship that they want to continue in a full-time capacity—approximately 70% of our interns in 2022 converted to full-time hires.
Our 10-week internship program includes the opportunity to experience the life of a consultant through practice work, client projects, training sessions and one-on-one meetings with West Monroe employees at various levels. With a hybrid internship this year, West Monroe interns were able to take advantage of in office and on-site client experiences while also benefiting from the flexibility of working from home. Interns also experience West Monroe’s culture through in-person and virtual social events and through participation with our Employee Resource Groups. Additionally, all interns traveled to Chicago for the Intern Summer Conference to participate in educational sessions, social events, and network with leaders and amongst one another.
