West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consultancy, today announced Adam Gersting as its new Dallas office leader and appointed him to the firm’s Executive Team, effective January 1, 2020. Gersting, a senior director who joined West Monroe in 2018, has played a key role in expanding the office’s capabilities, client base and community involvement, while also overseeing the Technology practice there. He assumes office leadership responsibility from Tom Hulsebosch, who will now head the firm’s Chicago office
In 2018, West Monroe announced plans to triple its workforce in Dallas over the next five years. In addition to investing to build local leadership and capabilities to serve business demand across the region, the firm also is developing a hub of technical competency in Dallas that serves clients both locally and nationally.
“Adam Gersting is not only an accomplished business and technology consultant, but also an exemplary leader. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber guiding our expansion in Dallas,” said Kevin McCarty, West Monroe’s president and CEO. “Adam has a keen focus on creating high-value solutions and understands how to do so by fostering collaboration that brings out the best of our collective experience and knowledge. He will drive strategic growth by building a culture of innovation in our Dallas office.”
West Monroe, which has nine offices across the United States, entered the Dallas market in 2015 and has since grown to a team of more than 75 people employing the firm’s uncommon blend of business consulting acumen and deep technology expertise to create value for clients across industries.
“It is exciting to be part of such a dynamic business marketplace and to have this chance to contribute to its prosperity and help local organizations create value,” Gersting said. “Our rapid expansion enables us to fulfill our mission of developing the next generation of leaders within our firm, our clients, and in the community. The attention to a people-first culture is real – it comes to life here more than at any other organization with which I’ve been associated.”
Prior to joining West Monroe, Gersting was a managing director with Slalom Consulting, leading growth and service delivery in Houston. Earlier in his career, he was a partner with Accenture leading Information Management & Analytics for the resources industries and a partner with IBM Global Business Services leading business analytics and optimization in the utilities and telecommunications industries. Gersting was recently honored by D.CEO Magazine as one of the Dallas 500, which celebrates the most influential business leaders in North Texas who impact the Dallas-Fort Worth economy.
In January, West Monroe relocated to new space at One Arts Plaza to accommodate its expansion plans. Known for its distinctive people-first culture, the firm has received numerous workplace awards nationally and in key markets. The Dallas office earned its first such recognition in 2019, appearing on the Dallas Business Journal’s latest list of Best Places to Work in North Texas.
